Radiohead have announced an Australian tour for this November. After rumours that they would be visiting us this year, they have now been officially announced to appear here in November. They’ll play 6 shows – one in Brisbane, and two in Sydney and Melbourne. New Zealand will also get a show in Auckland.
triple j revealed this morning that the band would be making their first appearance here since 2004, a long-awaited return, touring on the back of their current album The King of Limbs.
The band have been playing their more recent material at festivals, but the band will use this overdue appearance to our shores to treat Australians with a “showcase” of the band’s multi-decade career “in an aural and visual celebration.”
Since the release of their first single Creep in 1992, Radiohead have played Australia 3 times.
No shows will be added to the tour, so this is all we’ll get. Tickets will go on sale Thursday 1st March at 9am (local time).
