Rolling Stones 50th Anniversary Tour Delayed Until 2013

The Rolling Stones 50th Anniversary tour won’t happen this year after guitarist Keith Richards and frontman Mick Jagger said that the band are just not quite ready to hit the road yet, but 2013 could be the new goal and that they have “a feeling that’s more realistic”.

According to Rolling Stone, Stones insiders say the delay might be Richards’ health, questioning his ability to get through a worldwide tour. The quality of his performances has slumped since suffering a head injury in 2006.

There ware talks about them coming to Australia as a part of the tour, with goldcoast.com.au reporting that there had been discussions about ‘planning another Aussie run’.

This tour would have been their first since the two-year-long Bigger Bang tour, which ended in 1997.
