Shannon Noll Isn’t On The Groovin The Moo Lineup And Social Media Is Ropeable

First Shannon Noll was robbed of winning Australian Idol 2003, then he was robbed of a spot in the Hottest 100 countdown and now he’s been robbed of a spot on the 2016 Groovin The Moo lineup.

The lineup dropped this morning and while it’s a slamming group of names, from Danny Brown to Twenty One Pilots, there’s one significant admission – Nollsie.

6,258 people signed a petition on change.org to get Nollsie on the region festival lineup while nearly 10,000 united on a Facebook page to get the Drive singer to appear at the festival, but it appears it wasn’t enough. Once again he’s been left asking, “What about me?”

It seemed most of Australia was up for playing the festival and so was Nollsie by the sounds of it. He even replied to the petition saying that he’s been in touch with the organisers telling them he’s available.

The boy from Condobolin has become a national treasure with internet kids of late, becoming one of the most popular memes around. Given the public popularity lately, it’s no surprise that social media is devastated by the fact he won’t be appearing at the rural festival.

The creator of the ‘Get Shannon Noll To Groovin The Moo 2016’ Facebook page is understandably upset, taking to Facebook to write, “Shocked, upset, angry, confused… These are only a few words to describe how I feel right now. I have let every single one of you down. I am so so sorry. I am a broken man.”

The reactions on Facebook and Twitter range from utter disbelief to unbridled rage. You can see some of the best responses below.
