Slipknot Are Selling Replica Masks Just In Time For Halloween

The masked metal masters over at Slipknot are selling replica copies of their own masks less than a month out from Halloween, in an ingenious move for freaky mask marketing.

Slipknot’s range of nine masks are (of course) creepy as all hell, but they unfortunately come without the sweat found on the originals worn by group members Corey Taylor, Shawn “Clown” Crahan, Mick Thomson, Sid Wilson, Craig Jones, Chris Fehn and Jim Root. Well, maybe except Craig Jones’ one, which looks hella sweaty.

Sweat City

The only thing which is probably scarier than freaking everyone out with a Slipknot mask on Halloween is actually visiting the band’s “absolutely sickening” Scream Park in the US — or you could visit the Scream Park while wearing a mask and pretty much declare yourself the ultimate maggot. We double dare yah.

The official Slipknot masks range in price from USD$32 to USD$60, not including shipping. Interestingly, the versions of the masks worn by Slipknot’s most recent members, bassist Alessandro Venturella and drummer Jay Weinberg, are labelled only as “bass” and “drums” on the band’s merch site, which actually names the owners of all the other masks.

Slipknot are currently taking a solid break following their latest album .5: The Gray Chapter, but Corey Taylor has revealed some huge plans for the band’s next full-length effort.
