Soundwave 2015 Set Times Unveiled

UPDATE: Final Soundwave Festival set times have been unveiled — check them out here!

After weeks of fielding questions from fans eager to find out just how their festival plans will be affected by those inevitable clashes, Soundwave organisers have unveiled the 2015 set times, reiterating that they are only drafts and thus are subject to change.

The first issues have already been spotted, with New Found Glory’s 40 minute set needing amending to an hour-long set, and Mayhem being left off the bill entirely. Expect updated timetables shortly.

Festival boss AJ Maddah has previously commented that Soundwave’s new two-day set up will mean less clashes and more opportunities for bands to play the coveted evening time slots. He’s also been known to tweet out drafts of timetables and later amend them based on feedback.

Playing time were already broken down for Soundwave fans, with Maddah outlining that headline acts will have 90-100 min sets, “top bands” will play 70 mins, “middle bands” 60 mins and “small/new bands” 40 mins. The exception to the rule is Judas Priest, who although not an official headliner, will play a headliner-length set.

Also expected to drop shortly are more details about Sidewaves. So far only Soundgarden have locked in official Soundwave sideshows.
