Soundwave Comfort Zone Set To Go Ahead In Sydney And Brisbane

Despite being absent from Soundwave festivals in Adelaide and Melbourne, the long-hyped Soundwave Festival “Comfort Zone” is set to go ahead at this weekend’s Sydney and Brisbane festivals.

Promoter AJ Maddah has indicated on Twitter that tickets for the Comfort Zone will go on sale tomorrow at 11am via the Soundwave website and Eventopia. He added that numbers would be strictly limited.

No other information about the Soundwave Comfort Zone – an area originally spruiked as an exclusive rest area for punters at all stops on the festival’s tour – has been officially announced. However, Maddah has indicated on Twitter that capacity for the Brisbane venue will be limited to 700 and that it will cost weary punters $30 for single day entry and $50 for the whole weekend.

The Comfort Zone was canned for the recent Melbourne and Adelaide legs of the festival, with the promoter citing planning permissions as the reason for its absence, while reiterating that the exclusive zone will appear in “Sydney and Brisbane only”.

While there has been no official announcement about the amenities provided, previously mentioned extras include good coffee provided by baristas, cakes, bar service and comfortable bathroom facilities.

Maddah has also said that despite his previous comments about the area being open only to those 35 and older, the Comfort Zone will now be 18+ and advised punters to buy tickets in advance as amenities will be provided based on advance sales figures.

Stay tuned for more Comfort Zone information as it comes to hand.
