The dates for the 2015 instalment of WA’s Southbound festival have been announced alongside changes to next year’s camping arrangements which should make the festival a whole lot more convenient for punters.
Southbound 2015 will take place on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th January 2015 at its home venue of Busselton in Western Australia. After more than ten years of Southbound, the city of Busselton have given approval to one of the biggest changes Southbound has seen since its inception in 2004.
Festival goers will now be able to drive into their camping spot, setting up for the weekend right next to their cars. This deceptively small change equals huge convenience points for punters who no longer have to worry about trudging up and down the venue with their camping gear. It also means extra security for your belongings (and your car) plus easy access to radios and phone chargers.
While there’s no word yet as to who may appear on the Southbound 2015 lineup, organisers confirm that news should be coming soon — we’re guessing around the time its sister Falls Festival drops their own lineup. Last year’s Southbound lineup included the likes of London Grammar, Vampire Weekend and Solange.
