Splendour To Would-Be Fence Jumpers: Police Are Already “Monitoring” Your Evil Plans

Splendour In The Grass organisers have issued a stern warning to any evildoers currently plotting to jump the fence / parachute / tunnel / otherwise gain stealth unlawful entry into the sold-out 2018 festival this weekend: police are bloody onto ya.

“In conjunction with the police, we have been monitoring and are aware of all groups planning to enter Splendour without a valid event ticket,” promoters posted in the official Facebook event today, urging would-be fence-jumpers to think twice.

“Every system and access point you think you have mastered, we know about!” their warning continues.

“Anyone trespassing on the Splendour or neighbouring properties without an event ticket will receive an on the spot fine and removed from the festival. If you are under 18, the Police will call your parents.”

Punters, naturally, responded to the ominous warning with amusement and memes:

It comes after SITG organisers today announced plans to phase out single use plastic water bottles and straws as part of its commitment to the Plastic Free July campaign.

Splendour In The Grass will return to North Byron Parklands this weekend, with headline sets from Lorde, Vampire Weekend and Kendrick Lamar.
