Stone Roses Fan Dies Following Glasgow Performance

A recent performance from UK musical royalty The Stone Roses has ended in tragedy after a 24-year-old woman collapsed, and later died in hospital. At this point in time, police believe there was no foul play involved, though the event was apparently rife with anti-social behaviour.

The police are yet to confirm the exact cause of death but have stated via a spokesperson that “after 9pm [Saturday] we received a report that a 24-year-old woman had fallen [at the concert], a post-mortem will be carried out in due course to establish circumstances of the death.”

The woman was transported from the venue to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where she was pronounced dead.

Other punters at the performance have spoken of poor security at the show resulting in some rowdy crowd. Out of the 50,000 in attendance, 24 were nicked for anti-social behaviour and drug offenses. One particular fan told The Daily Record, “Security at the gig was absolutely shocking, no bags were being searched on the way in.”

Unfortunately, this is an all too familiar feeling for The Stone Roses. Back in 2012, 22-year-old fan Christopher Brahney never made it home from their comeback performance at Heaton Park. His body wasn’t discovered until 10 days later. His cause of death is still unknown.
