The Beards have been chosen as the flagship band representing the celebration of beards and bearded fellows at this years World Beard Day 2013 Celebration. The stubbly fun doesn’t stop there, with a small crowd of other well hairy bands set to take to Sydney’s Annandale Hotel.
Normally celebrated on the first Saturday of September, this will be the first time in recorded history that World Beard Day is celebrated Down Under in a formal sense, so it’s understandable why organisers have come out with the big guns. Also performing on the day will be Jackson Firebird, The Stiffys, Manchoir and Atlas B Salvesen.
The main bearded man hosting World Beard Day will be bearded comedian Dave Callan , and the venue will allow total access to their ‘beard garden’ for the event. What’s more, should you be beardless and too ashamed to show up, you can watch the whole shebang from the safety of your home, as the show will be live streamed.
