There’s A Rumour That Axl Rose Is Replacing Brian Johnson In AC/DC

UPDATE 17/04/16: AC/DC have officially announced Axl Rose as Brian Johnson’s replacement.

UPDATE 29/03/16: Axl Rose has been photographed leaving the same rehearsal space as AC/DC… maybe the rumours aren’t BS after all?

There’s a big rumour going around about who’s been tapped to replace Brian Johnson as AC/DC‘s vocalist for the remainder of their Rock Or Bust world tour dates.

According to reports, the mystery belter is none other than W. Axl Rose of Guns N’ Roses, which may explain why the Gunners have yet to roll out any more of their big reunion tour dates.

The whispers started when a fan bumped into Axl rehearsing in Atlanta sans Gunners and posted the pic on Instagram:

As fans started to FREAK THE FUCK OUT at the possibility that Rose could be priming himself for an Acca Dacca collab, an Atlanta Radio DJ has come out claiming that a “very very good source” has confirmed to him that the news is a “done deal”.

Jock Jason Bailey said on his show (transcribed by Alternative Nation): “This is what I’m being told, Axl was meeting with the AC/DC group, because it’s all but a done deal that Axl will front AC/DC for the 10 remaining shows. All 10, including Atlanta.

“From what I was told, this was all kind of new inside information to me, Angus is a very black and white guy. He’s like, Brian, for health reasons, can’t continue fronting the band,” he continued.

“He was supposed to retire after the last tour, so they wanted to continue going out on the road and continue making music, so if you can’t do it, we appreciate your services, but the show must go on. They’re in town, they were auditioning people for the job, and then they flew Axl in, again, this is from my source.”

AC/DC were forced to postpone the remainder of their Rock Or Bust world tour dates after mainstay vocalist Brian Johnson was ordered by doctors to stop touring immediately or else risk permanent hearing loss, with plans to plough ahead with a guest vocalist.

But Axl Rose is a wildcard that we never would have predicted. He’s certainly a seasoned veteran with the vocal range, grit, experience and showmanship to do an AC/DC set justice.

But I guess that’s, uh, if he shows up on time.
