Triple J Hottest 100 2015: Live Updates & Winners

UPDATE: The winner of triple j’s Hottest 100 of 2015 has been announced.

At last, Australia Day is here and we are once again free to celebrate the anniversary of the European invasion of Australia with some flag wearing, binge drinking and triple j Hottest 100 listening. Aussie! Aussie! Aussie! Oi! Oi! Oi!

And as the national youth broadcaster prepares to reveal its meticulously calculated ranking of the 100 most popular songs of the last year, we here at Music Feeds are ready to share in the excitement as we find out what the voters have decreed.

Of course what would a Hottest 100 countdown be without a range of contentious predictions over who is going to take out the top spot? And while triple j have proudly quashed any troll campaigns such as last year’s controversial #Tay4Hottest100 campaign, there is still plenty of speculation over who the winner will be, the Tepid 100 having tentatively called the winner already.

Meanwhile many like myself remain heartbroken at Justin Bieber’s exclusion after Beliebers started a #Beiber4Hottest100 campaign only to be blocked by the station’s new ‘troll clause’.

Despite all the controversy and the station resorting to ever more dictatorial measures to ensure their musical democracy, the Hottest 100 still remains the most highly respected elected title in the land… way ahead of Prime Minster.

And for those of you here early before the countdown proper begins and we go into frantic update mode, why don’t you check out our gallery of predicted front runners here below.
