Tyler The Creator And Earl Sweatshirt To Collaborate On EarlWolf Album

Habitual partners in crime Earl Sweatshirt and Tyler, The Creator have confirmed that they will make their relationship as EarlWolf official by fusing their rap powers onto one collaborative album. The album is still a little ways off but, once the ball’s rolling, they’re promising a much shorter turnover than usual.

During an interview with NME, Sweatshirt has explained that the two want to write the album in one solid session rather than in bits and pieces over time, as was the case with his solo album Doris:

“We’ll do the record when we’re ready to sit down for a month and a half and do it in one. It’d be shitty if it was spread out. That’s how I want to do shit from now on; that’s what I learned from doing ‘Doris’. Trying to piece shit together that’s hella spread out kinda sucks. You hit a lot more walls trying to make it sync.”

Earl and Tyler already have plenty of experience working with one another, appearing on each other’s solo albums – Tyler’s Wolf dropped earlier this year – and several times with fellow Odd Future cohorts, so at least no time will be wasted on small talk.

The pair have also toured together with great success, bringing their EarlWolf tour Down Under in June this year and causing plenty of ruckus along the way. Check out some snaps from their Sydney show below.
