UPDATE: Ultra Music Festival Announces 2019 Australian Dates In Sydney & Melbourne
ORIGINAL STORY: Ultra Music Festival has announced that it will be bringing its EDM chops to Australia for events in both 2018 and 2019.
Organisers of the EDM mega-festival have confirmed that its single-stage single-day event Road To Ultra will hit Melbourne in February 2018, before the full Ultra Music Festival experience — which is multi-stage and multi-day — hits Melbourne and Sydney at some point in 2019. No other cities have been announced.
“Over the past few years, Ultra Worldwide has ventured to many locations across the globe,” organisers say.
“We are thrilled to announce that Ultra Worldwide will now be expanding to Ibiza, China, India, and Australia!”
Ultra announced in March that it had plans to expand to Australia in 2018.
Today’s announcement comes after the loss of Australia’s biggest EDM festival Stereosonic, and that “totally fake” 2017 Stereosonic lineup poster which was doing the rounds.
