Watch Bluejuice Cover Boyz II Men’s ‘End Of The Road’ For ‘Like A Version’

Today marked triple j’s final Like A Version for 2014 and to farewell the beloved segment for another year, beloved homegrown act Bluejuice, who are about to play their final shows as a band, stopped by the studio to finish off the year in style with a cover of Boyz II Men’s 1992 Grammy winning hit End Of The Road.

Introduced as a song vocalist Stavros Yiannoukas was born to sing, the band and their large troupe of special guests, including Elana Stone and Andy Bull, dived into the emotional and timely End Of The Road cover, filling the radio airwaves with a little bit of teary nostalgia.

“I’m just going to call it like Kanye West, it is genius,” explains frontman Jake Stone of his idea to cover the tune. “For one thing it’s his favourite band ever and I knew he could sing it perfect and he can, watch,” he says pointing to bandmate Stavros. “It’s the end of the year, the end of the band, possibly the end of my career…it’s perfect.”

While in the studio the boys also played a stripped back version of their Retrospectable track Work.

Earlier this year Bluejuice announced their official dissolution and went out on a bang with a huge nation-wide farewell tour to celebrate their 13 years together. They will play their final shows as a band ever at the upcoming Falls and Southbound festivals this summer.
