Watch Chester Bennington’s Former Bandmates Perform An Emotional Acoustic Tribute

Chester Bennington will always be remembered as the iconic frontman of those game-changing nu-metal motherfuckers Linkin Park, but he also fronted a handful of other bands throughout his epic music career (including, of course, a stint with the legendary Stone Temple Pilots).

But it was his lesser-known bandmates from former projects Dead By Sunrise and Grey Daze who just united to pay tribute to the late legend with a special acoustic memorial performance in Las Vegas.

As Blabbermouth reports, Grey Daze’s Mace Beyers and Dead By Sunrise’s Amir Derakh and Ryan Shuck joined forces at Planet Hollywood’s Sxe Theater to deliver a three-song set; Dead By Sunrise tracks ‘Let Down’ and ‘Morning After’, and Grey Daze’s tune ‘The Down Syndrome’ in honour of the vocal powerhouse that was Chester Bennington.

Chester released three albums with Grey Daze between 1993 and 1998, while he put out one record with Dead By Sunrise in 2009.

Catch his ex-bandmates’ emotional tribute performance below, alongside some of Chester’s best work from their time together.

It comes after 30 Seconds To Mars’s Jared Leto honoured the Linkin Park icon with a special tribute at this year’s VMAs.
