Gorillas are usually trying to get rid of fleas but bassist Flea and Koko The Gorilla actually got on well when they met to have a jam.
In a very unusual situation, the Red Hot Chili Peppers‘ bassist sat down with Koko to listen to the gorilla slapping some bass.
Flea is the bass expert but he took a back seat, lying down and allowing Koko to do all the playing, much to his satisfaction.
“This is the greatest thing that ever happened,” Flea says in the video captured by The Gorilla Foundation.
It sounds like Koko was just as entertained by the whole situation too with The Gorilla Foundation saying, “Koko was thrilled by the mellow sounds and a jamming session followed with Koko strumming on Flea’s bass.”
“Watch for more news on future collaborations between the two,” they added which makes us think that Koko may have a feature spot on the next Chili Peppers record.
