Watch Prophets Of Rage Wage War On Donald Trump With Protest Gig Near US Republican Convention

Prophets Of Rage have made good on their promise to fuck shit up in Cleveland and take a proverbial dump on the US Republican Party’s parade.

The supergroup – comprising 3/4 of Rage Against The Machine plus Cypress Hill’s B-Real and Public Enemy’s Chuck D – rocked up at the city’s End Poverty Now march to perform a setlist of their most incendiary anthems in the shadow of of Donald Trump’s presidential candidacy victory party.

“Thank you for coming out today with your joy and your militancy,” guitarist Tom Morello told the crowd (via Rolling Stone) prior to launching into Rage’s classic Killing In The Name.

“We’re gonna play one more jam, then we’re gonna go over there [to the RNC] and you’re gonna go over there and we’re gonna let those motherfuckers at the RNC know that we’ve had enough of their bullshit.”

Just hours later, the band popped up in the middle of Cleveland Public Square to perform a guerilla (radio?) gig, ahead of their “proper” Cleveland show at the city’s Agora Ballroom today.

It comes just one day after the band dropped their first studio track, an update on Public Enemy’s classic Prophets of Rage.

Described by Morello as an “elite task force of revolutionary musicians determined to confront this mountain of election year bullshit,” Prophets Of Rage have vowed to stir up a shitfight for Trump and his cronies, mobilise protestors to demand better of their government and #MakeAmericaRageAgain.
