You Can Have An Awkward Photo With Avril Lavigne For $400

Back in January, Music Feeds readers responded with (mostly) appropriate vitriol when we reported that pop singer Britney Spears spent an awkward three seconds with fans during a meet-and-greet which cost them $2,500 each. We guess Avril Lavigne doesn’t read our comments section.

According to Billboard, for a string of recent performances in Brazil, done as part of her 30-date South American tour, Lavigne offered fans the option of purchasing a $400 meet-and-greet ticket to take a photo with her. Note that the $400 sum did not include the price of the concert ticket.

And there’s also a caveat: fans are not allowed to touch the singer, who recently stirred controversy with an allegedly “racist” video for her single Hello Kitty, and must stand at least arm’s length away from her, reportedly a precaution due to a stage-rush incident during a 2011 Brazil tour (see below).
