Luke Stephenson presents a photo essay on the live recording of Kirin J Callinan’s debut album over three nights at The Russian Coachman.
Luke is a lord I was lucky enough to meet in my journalistic wanderings and has taken press shots from every awesome local artist from Pivot to The Scare. He shoots on film bitches, so enjoy it.
I should probably say something about the show, but trying to describe what Kirin does reminds me of a certain famous Frank Zappa quote, and I’m not much of a dancer. Suffice to say Luke’s photos very much reflect the demented range of Kirin’s sound so use your imaginations for once will ya.
