In the lead-up to his big Australian headlining tour and performance at the inaugural Sydney City Limits festival, Beck has hit us with a deadset adorable music video for his dreamy new tune, ‘Fix Me’.
Set in the whimsical hills of Japan, the clip follows the adventures of arguably the cutest toddler you’ve ever seen, Mame, and her fluffy poodle guardians as they play frisbee and chow down on birthday cake. Yep, get ready for wall-to-wall ‘Awwwwws’.
“There’s something really special happening in the mountains of Yamagata, and we were lucky enough to enter Mame’s world for two afternoons in November,” explains director Brook Linder. “That home is heaven on Earth. One of the dogs, Qoo, and I had a special connection —I think he’s my great-grandfather reincarnated… or something. He looked into my soul.”
The single itself forms the closer of the guitar guru’s critically acclaimed new LP, Colors. And for its release, Beck has partnered with the ASPCA (that’s the US version of the RSPCA) to encourage fans to make an easy donation to help safeguard animal welfare.
