Birds Of Tokyo – ‘Empire’

If you were feeling comfortable and cozy within your reality on this blissful spring day, well, that’s all about to change. Birds Of Tokyo have unleashed their new video for Empire, jam packing it full of visuals which will serve as a helpful reminder that everything is NOT OKAY.

Empires will fall, the song’s catch cry, is bookended with references to injustices and inequalities that have Birds Of Tokyo at their wits’ end, ‘Bracing’, if you will, for the inevitable impact of society hitting rock bottom.

While instrumentally the song packs a softer blow than older sibling and title track Brace, Empire is thematically heavy as fuck. The prog-rock instrumental dare not tread on the toes of the song’s main message, which is going to give you a lot to think about.

Upcoming shows from the band are sure as hell to be an eye, ear and mind opening experience. The tour kicks off moments after the album’s release on Friday, 4th November.
