Perth producer Elk Road has dropped a stunning video “about escape and freedom” for his latest track Not To Worry featuring Governors.
The video was directed by Perth team Matsu & Parks who have made videos for Koi Child and Willow Beats. It explores the juxtaposition between work life and the great outdoors, flicking between shots of the office and waterfalls. The latter is clearly the ideal option but both are shot beautifully.
The track was released last month and has already clocked up over 100,000 plays and marks a re-emergence on the West Australian electronic scene after a brief period of silence. A year ago now, he rose to prominence with remixes of Charli XCX’s Boom Clap and Britney Spears’ Toxic.
With its warm undertones and tropical percussion, it’s pretty hard not to get excited about summer after hearing the track and watching the vid. It seems like the producer will be soundtracking your summer in one way or another too as he’s got a bunch of shows coming up including at Sydney’s Electronic Music Conference and Your Paradise festival.
