Future Music Festival 2014 Interviews: Cut Copy

Among the many must-see acts at the Future Music Festival 2014, which Music Feeds was recently lucky enough to attend, were local indietronica collective Cut Copy. We sat down with half of the band to catch up on their latest escapades.

The boys spoke about hanging out with fellow headliners Phoenix and said Future Music fans were responding well to new material from their fourth studio album Free Your Mind. The Cut Copy boys also spoke a bit about their diverse tour schedule, travelling to obscure European towns and playing gigs on the Russian/Siberian border.

“We’re really fortunate,” they said. “I guess we live in an age where the world’s a little bit smaller due to the Internet and at least as far as getting music [out] and people being aware of who you are, there seems to be opportunities based on that.”
