Hanni El Khatib – ‘Melt Me’

Hanni El Khatib has released a genius DIY video for his new track Melt Me.

Melt Me was filmed on a smart phone around Brighton in the UK but it was directed by Frenchman Simon Cahn, so it goes above and beyond the usual expectations for a phone-filmed video.

Cahn has worked with both Terry Richardson and Spike Jonze in the past and does a masterful job of turning the footage into an intimate insight of a night with Khatib and his mates.

The camera shakes and turns every which way as Khatib and co make their way around gaming arcades and eventually find themselves on a very chilly-looking beach.

It’s pretty easy to got lost in the video’s home-made charm and feel, as if you’re right there with him.

Melt Me is taken from Khatib’s third record Moonlight, released earlier this year.
