Hot Chip – ‘Started Right’

Fancy ditching Eye Of The Tiger at karaoke in favour of something a little cooler like new Hot Chip? Well, you kinda, sorta can imagine it and play along watching their new video for Started Right taken from their most recent album Why Make Sense.

Directed by Rollo Jackson, the clip features an actress performing the song, looking far more composed and cool than most people ever do when their night ends up in a karaoke bar.

It’s a beautifully shot video, glowing with neon lights and intercut by random videos ranging from cartoons to surfing. We can’t quite figure out the point of it, but then again Hot Chip are posing the question Why Make Sense?

If you’re feeling like there’s a distinct lack of Hot Chip’s physical presence in this video you can also check out their performance of the song on Conan this week.
