Interview: All Time Low – Soundwave 2013

Alex and Rian, who together are half of pop-punk powerhouse All Time Low, came by for a chat with Music Feeds while in town for Soundwave 2013 after being lured towards our cameras by our bowl of red liquorice.

The band is now well-versed in the art of festival performances. They recently wrapped up their own headlining tour but found it to be a nice change performing on a festival line-up. As they explain they’ve seen a lot of growth in Soundwave over the years, for themselves and the event. We asked them if they preferred headlining shows or festival shows, and the answer isn’t as easy as you may think.

10 years into the game officially makes All Time Low a legacy band. Seeing as how they started when they were 15, being 25 and having created a musical legacy is a strange feeling for the pair but, with a new album having only just arrived, I doubt there will be much time to celebrate.

Don’t Panic is the latest release from the band and their first since rejoining their long-time partners Fearless Records. After being held down by the ol’ record label drama, the band explains the process of writing an album without being shackled.

Don’t hold your breath for a new album within the next 12 months – Don’t Panic is proving to be an album with legs and will probably be rotating for a while to come.
