Interview: Circa Waves Talk “The New Rock & Roll”

Liverpool indie rockers Circa Waves were in the country earlier this month, touring in support of The 1975, who hand-picked them to join their 2015 Australian tour. Speaking with Music Feeds following their two Melbourne performances, three quarters of Circa Waves used their rather entertaining band banter to discuss “the new rock & roll”.

Having recorded their forthcoming album, Young Chasers, with only 10 minutes to spare before their deadline, Circa Waves used their tongue-in-cheek humour to suggest that “the new rock & roll” involves “turning up on time, doing a good job, going to bed early, paying your taxes”.

Circa Waves were last in Australia for Splendour In The Grass 2014, and are set to tour the US and Europe throughout 2015. “Australia and Japan will feature later in the year,” the band told Music Feeds.

Young Chasers is due for release in Australia digitally on 27th March.
