The Delta Riggs boys have been flat out lately, supporting the Foo Fighters and now shooting around the country for the Groovin the Moo festival and found some time in between red eye flights to come to Music Feeds studio and have a chat.
Monty and Elliot talked to MF presenter Harrison about the chaos of being on the road and pitched a sci-fi movie where Tom Cruise lives in the core of the earth (no, really).
Moving to (slightly) more serious topics the guys told us about being buds with Sticky Fingers at Groovin and getting mistaken for their lead singer Patty. “They did try to sabotage us yesterday, though. They tried to ring up the people in charge of the riders and get a case of beer struck from our rider.”
It’s not all laughs though with the boys touching on losing band mates and moving forward as a new group. “Everyone respects each other now. We’ve been through that period, you know, but now as it perpetuates into whatever it is, we’re all in a good headspace.”
Groovin the Moo wraps up over the next two weeks. The Delta Riggs will also be playing at the Metro in Sydney this Friday 1st May (tix here) and will be appearing at this year’s Splendour in the Grass.
