Interview: Foals Talk New Album ‘What Went Down’ And Getting “Heavier”.

Yannis and Edwin from Foals were in Sydney recently and we chatted all things new album What Went Down and how the lads feel about their sound being called “heavy”.

With fourth album What Went Down dropping this Friday August 28th, the Foals lads spoke to presenter Harry about its birth saying “the name of the album came from the song and the song, I can’t remember why it just seemed to make sense at the time. The album came together very quickly.”

Talking about the diversity of the Foals sound, which some are claiming is getting heavier as each album arrives Edwin told us “there’s a lot of influences and a lot of directions the band is constantly going in. I don’t think at any point the band shys away from going down a particular path.”

What Went Down arrives this Friday, you can grab a pre-order here.
