Interview: Marlon Williams Talks European Trip And Self-Loathing Being Key

Kiwi crooner Marlon Williams had a chat to Music Feeds’ Harry in a local pub and caught us up on all things “Marly Marl” such as his recent European gigs and filled us in on his new self-titled album.

Having been on the scene in a bunch of bands for a few years Williams has finally released his first solo album and tells Harry it’s definitely been awhile coming “there were some songs that have been sitting around for a few years. Most, about half of them, were written in the studio, under duress.”

“I don’t enjoy the process of writing songs.”, he continued. “So, if I’m gonna write songs you have to throw me in a studio and tell me I have to record in a few weeks.”
