Interview: Mosman Alder At Bigsound 2012

Having recently gigged their way through the East Coast, Brissy up-and-comers Mosman Alder have succeeded in pricking up many ears since the release of their debut EP. The 6-piece outfit has since made their way back to home ground for BIGSOUND 2012.

Having worked in the studio with two very different creative minds, being Sean Cook and Vanto Browning, the band worked towards finding a happy medium between Cook’s passion for raw-sounding mixes and Vanto’s more polished approach.

Though the tour was in support of the EP, the band still managed to road test some of their more recent material. As the band discusses, they will begin demoing in a few weeks with Cam Smith, spending 3 days in the studio recording and tracking tunes that they have been writing over the past 2 years. All things going to plan, the demo will then pave the way for the band’s first debut album.
