Interview: Of Mice & Men – Soundwave 2013

Having only toured here once before with Destroy Music, Of Mice & Men were easily one of the most anticipated acts of Soundwave 2013. While backstage at Soundwave Sydney, frontman Austin Carlile caught up with Music Feeds to chat about the festival madness and, of course, new material.

The last time we heard new tunes from the band was the deluxe re-issue of The Flood. The re-release saw their sophomore release kitted out with a handful of new tunes. Carlile chats about these new additions and what led the band to release them.

He also confirms that the third album from the band is well and truly on its way, going as far as to show us his phone, which currently holds 4 tracks – one with vocals. Austin assures that fans will have something from the band in time for Christmas.

Of Mice & Men were also lucky enough to check out the Metallica BBQ. Have a look at the interview to hear their story from the shindig.
