Interview: Oh Mercy Talks Getting All Personal Like On New Album

Oh Mercy’s Alex Gow dropped by the Music Feeds studio to talk about their new album When We Talk About Love and how the last few years have shaped the band.

Alex told Music Feeds’ presenter Harry that all he really wanted to achieve with the album was to create something beautiful that “could be listened to in a passive way, like whilst driving or jogging, and also have enough content there for it to be listened to actively, focusing on the words.”

Described as his most personal songwriting yet Alex says “he didnt really feel like he had an option” when it came to opening up more and that he “owed it to [himself] to write about what [he] was experiencing.”

Oh Mercy’s When We Talk About Love is out today and you can get the details of their upcoming national tour here.
