Interview: The Preatures Talk Touring With The Rolling Stones

Sydney band The Preatures capped off a hugely successful 2014 with an Australian support slot on the Rolling Stones’ 14 On Fire tour. Guitarist/vocalist Gideon Bensen and bassist Tom Champion recently told Music Feeds that touring in support of the rock icons was literally a dream come true.

“I did dream of one day meeting, playing with and joining the band,” Tom said. “You don’t ever think that it would be a realistic possibility that it would happen, so even [supporting] was just crazy.”

Having released their debut album Blue Planet Eyes a few months prior to the Stones’ tour, the group had already seen a great response from fans to the new material. “It’s nice to see people singing along at gigs, not even to the singles,” Tom said. “To all the songs, really,” Gideon added.

The Preatures are already planning their second album, and will tour Europe and the US again in 2015.
