The Lockhearts – ‘Little Eden’

Sydney’s steezy riff merchants The Lockhearts have loosed a quirky new animated music video for ‘Little Eden’, their latest slice of Americana Doom Fuzz to get given the single treatment.

‘Americana Doom Fuzz’ is not only the name of the foursome’s patented genre style but also the title of their long-awaited debut album, a blazing 11-track musical manifesto that loudly declares everything this band is about, and honestly chronicles the ups and downs of their crazy journey so far.

Described by frontman Tim Meaco as “a note of self-reflection after being perpetually on the rebound”, ‘Little Eden’ comes packing some amazingly cooked cartoon visuals from The Media Collective, reminiscent of The Beatles’ ‘Yellow Submarine’ but possibly on even more hallucinogenics.

Like the rest of the LP, ‘Little Eden’ is a nod to the golden era of studio experimentation when artists like Aerosmith & The Black Crowes were in their prime, while capturing the same swaggering bluesman bravado that’s made The Lockhearts a standout on the local live circuit for years now.

Speaking of which, you can catch a list of their remaining Americana Doom Fuzz Aussie tour dates below, after you kick back and enjoy the music video above.
