Novo Amor – ‘Anchor’

British musician Ali Lacey, better known as Novo Amor, is preparing to release his melancholic new single Anchor in late October, but he’s already shared the track’s sea-centric music video.

Anchor is the follow-up to Lacey’s 2014 debut EP Woodgate NY, and the song’s music video pairs the singer-songwriter’s gentle acoustic tones with scenes of a sea rescue turned love story featuring a kind of modern-day mermaid figure. It’s all based on the Gaelic folklore of the Selkie, which lives as a seal in the sea before shedding its skin to live as a human on land.

Lacey is set to drop Anchor (hehe) on 23rd October 2015, and will spend on the rest of the year continuing work on a full-length collaborative album.
