The Peep Tempel – ‘Rayguns’

Melbourne band The Peep Tempel have released a ridiculously absurd video for their single Rayguns , from their third album Joy.

The video is an absolutely hilarious critique of the modern news cycle and news television broadcasters, and it achieves this by superimposing guitarist and vocalist Blake Scott’s head on a series of newsreaders and in some video news packages.

The clear target of the clip is the intolerant, right-wing broadcasters. “There is no mystery regarding the target of this rant,” says Scott. “We hope the clip – dudes in bad wardrobe bouncing from one ridiculous scene to the next – reflects the absurdity of intolerance.”

Joy is set to be released on Friday, 14th October.
