New video clip from Pluto Jonze, for his track Plastic Bag In A Hurricane. With his unique take on the pop genre, 2011 has been a determining year for Jonze. Since the release of his debut self-titled EP, released in May this year, Pluto has carved a name for himself as a refreshing and engaging performer and part of a new breed of talented Australian artists.
Dressed with samples, sequenced electronic lines and backed by an explosive live three-piece band, Pluto will round out the year with a gig at the Metro with Jinja Safari.
Always with his pop sensibilities at the forefront, Jonze eyed influence from some of the male musical greats like Bowie and Beck from an early age, but soon developed his own intrinsic style of layered, vintage, and occasionally sonically experimental pop.
Having run his paces performing alongside the likes of local favourites The Jezebels, Andy Bull, Jinja Safari as well as a solid performance at this year’s Bigsound, Pluto Jonze is ready to once again take the headline spot – all evidence indicates this is an artist to watch.
