Purple Sneakers DJ At Select Music 7th B’Day, Sydney 2012

Whether it’s their hip hop-infused, indie pop-riddled wob fest that is their music, or even sitting down with them for an interview, you never really know what to expect when the Purple Sneakers DJs are around. We caught up with Martin and Randall to talk all things Sneakers.

Few electronic duos have caused as much of a stir as the PS DJs. Few of their peers can boast stealing the crowd of club favourites and festival favourites. The lads chat about that reputation and what it really means to them, labelling the two as foreplay and all out rowdy sex – a fairly apt metaphor.

We get to the bottom of their musical influences and their mindset when they walk into the studio/open up the laptop to get to what they do best. We also get some insight into the band’s first few steps into the previously uncharted realm of original mixes, looking to be released very soon.
