Perth-hailing drum & bass lord ShockOne has unveiled the official video for his latest banging cut ‘A Dark Machine’.
The track is his first new release since 2016, and also features the vocals of fellow Perth artist and regular collaborative partner Reija Lee.
The analogue-style clip is the brainchild of another Perth creative Matsu, who has previously worked with the likes of Willow Beats, Elk Road, Koi Child and more.
ShockOne was also involved in the production process, cutting his teeth as a co-director for the first time. “This is the first time I’ve had a direct hand in the production of one of my clips, which has been a dream of mine since forever,” he says. “I’m so happy with what we achieved.”
The clip provides a first look into the world around ShockOne’s Dark Machine project. It also features the disembodied head of Lee, which is manipulated and played with in Matsu’s captivating visual style.
ShockOne will head out on the road later this October with Reija Lee, HWLS & Godlands. Full dates and details here.
