Soundwave 2015: New Found Glory Talk ‘Resurrection’, Internet Outrage & Taylor Swift Covers

American pop punk act New Found Glory are back in the country as a part of the epic Soundwave festival and took some time to chat with Music Feeds about their latest album Resurrection, causing a stir on the internet and possible Taylor Swift cover plans.

The Florida outfit said Soundwave stands out as one of the world’s most diverse festivals. “It’s like Warped Tour, Oz Fest and Lollapalooza all in one,” say the band. “It takes all three genres and puts them into one huge thing so for us it’s great. We get to play with a lot of different bands who we wouldn’t normally get to play with.”

While they have no immediate plans for a follow-up to Resurrection, the band say they have just finished filming a new video for its track One More Round, the “violent” content of which – inspired by South East Asian horror films – they “hope will cause some stir on the internet”.

As far as the rest of the year goes, New Found Glory say they plan on releasing a bonus edition of Resurrection with two additional tracks. Plus, if bassist Ian Grushka can convince his bandmates, they may even take on a Taylor Swift cover or two. That is, only if she returns the favour.
