Music Feeds Studio was recently lucky enough to host the delightful company of Sydney alt-rockers The Jezabels, who came in to share a few choice selections from their latest album, this year’s favourably-received The Brink. They moved us all with their rendition of Time To Dance, which featured somber synth chords that brooded beneath Samuel Lockwood‘s gorgeous guitar leads and frontwoman Hayley Mary‘s powerful and soulful voice.
We were also lucky enough to steal a few minutes of the band’s time for a quick interview, during which they discussed their then-upcoming set at Groovin The Moo with our own Mike Hohnen. “That festival’s genius… And regional crowds are always some of our favourites,” said Hayley.
“People are just stoked that you’re there. There’s a lot of universities around these places,” said Samuel. “People are just stoked that you’re out there, that’s the general vibe. It doesn’t matter what sort of band you are, everyone’s there and loves music so it’s really cool.”
