Thelma Plum – ‘Clumsy Love’

Singer-songwriter Thelma Plum has given her recent single ‘Clumsy Love’ the music video treatment, ahead of her upcoming national tour.

Shot in Melbourne, the video was directed by Claudia Sangiorgi Dalimore, who says the dancers in the clip “embody different facets of relationship”.

“The soloist plays out the contrasting emotions Thelma is singing about, the duo is the relationship we keep with ourselves, and the couple is the push and pull dynamic of a relationship between a women and a man,” she says.

“I collaborated with choreographer Sela Vai to create the movement vocabulary for the clip, drawing inspiration from what it is to be clumsy both in face and body. We wanted the dance to be playful, curious and joyful too, expressing the importance of not taking ourselves so seriously in any relationship and in life in general.”

“I spent two days with an incredible crew of talented womyn and these insanely wonderful dancers who make Clumsy look so BEAUTIFUL,” Thelma Plum said.

“Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.”
