Honey-toned Australian indie darling Lisa Mitchell has unveiled the bewitching video for her lighter-than-air folk ditty Wah Ha. Filmed entirely, explains Mitchell, during a weekend away at the snow.
Captured by her friend Kirrilee Bailey, the video contains footage of Mitchell moving through an “alpine wilderness full of childhood memories” and perfectly accompanies the etherealness of the track.
“I spent our time on the chairlifts rambling to Kirri while she clung to her cameras, about the ski-runs my sister and I loved and where we’d meet Mum and Dad for hot chocolate at the bottom,” explains Mitchell.
“The footage was so charming that we realised it would make the perfect accompaniment to Wah Ha; grounded in the Australian Landscape but somehow floating off into the ether.”
