WATCH: Little Dragon – ‘Klapp Klapp’

Swedish electronic five-piece Little Dragon have dropped the first single from their forthcoming album Nabuma Rubberband, titled Klapp Klapp. Directed by Taylor Cohen, alongside creative director NABIL, the clip offers a dark visualisation of the song’s strong percussive force, with Yukimi Nagano‘s vocal’s soaring over the top. There’s a subtle trip-hop influence in the song, with the group’s trademark velcro-synths in full force and some beautifully layered vocals.

Nabuma Rubberband is set to be released on 13th May this year. It follows the band’s 2011’s critically acclaimed full-length release Ritual Union. Departing from the band’s earlier, dancier style, the group have said the new record will focus more on “Janet Jackson slow jams [frontwoman Yukimi Nagano] used to listen to wandering around Gothenburg during the unrelenting winter,” as reported by Rolling Stone.
