Banding with one of the most recognised and acclaimed filmmakers and music video directors of the modern era, Academy Award winner Michel Gondry, Devon-based indie troop Metronomy have produced a colourful, dizzying new video for their single Love Letters, a cut from their forthcoming album of the same name.
Gondry is known for his unique and vibrant visual style, which has seen him create some of the world’s most iconic videos for artists such as Bjork, Radiohead, Kylie Minogue, The White Stripes, Beck, and Daft Punk, and is well known for his feature films Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind and The Science of Sleep. Having largely retired from making music videos, Metronomy’s latest clip is a genuine and rare treat.
Love Letters is slated for release Friday, 7th March and is already being hailed as the band’s magnum opus. The album is brimming with the warm production and ear worm melodies that have made Metronomy’s sound stand out among today’s crowded indie scene.
