Hailing from Kettering, UK, young psychedelic up-and-comers Temples made a big splash before their highly-anticipated debut record, Sun Structures, was even released. The band’s stylish production, skilled songsmithing, and retro flair made fans of such UK indie greats as Johnny Marr and Noel Gallagher, who championed the band as part of the next generation of British guitar music and the band have now unveiled their latest taste of visual splendour with Mesmerise.
Mesmerise was recorded by Temples lead singer James Bagshaw at his home studio in Kettering, while the animated video was directed by Benjael Halfmaderholz and is a characteristically psychedelic affair, with floating pyramids and desert mazes aplenty.
The boys recently announced their first Australian tour, which will kick off at The Zoo in Brisbane this May, before travelling down the East Coast for shows in Sydney and Melbourne. The band will be joined by fellow indie-psych vanguards and Sydney locals Deep Sea Arcade.
