A Perfect Circle Drummer Leaves the Band

Written by Marc Zanotti on October 3, 2012

Supergroup A Perfect Circle is down one member today with drummer Josh Freese having announced his exit from the band after more then a decade of service. Freese made the news public a matter of hours ago via his Twitter account, stating that, “After 13 years, I’ve decided to leave @aperfectcircle with no plans of returning. Apologies to those inquiring about the upcoming shows.”

As noted by Loudwire, Freese is one of the most successful drummers in modern music, having played with A Perfect Circle, Weezer, Guns & Roses, Nine Inch Nails, Offspring and Motley Crue, to name but a few. Loudwire also mention that Freese has lent his skills on the skins to almost 400 different albums. Wowzers!

In other A Perfect Circle related news, frontman Maynard James Keenan wrote his first instalment of what is to be a series of columns for the Phoenix New Times. Keenan’s first article was titled These Are the “End of Days”. You can check it out here
