Dave Grohl Downplays Foo Fighters’ Hiatus

Earlier in the week Music Feeds, along with numerous other music news sites, reported on the Foo Fighters’ announcement that the band would be taking an extended break for an undisclosed amount of time. The story came from Dave Grohl’s comment during the Foo Fighters’ headlining set at the recently passed Reading Festival.

Grohl addressed those in attendance, informing festivalgoers that they were in for a long night as it would the last show from the Foo Fighters for some time. “You guys realise we’ve got a lot of songs to play. It’s the last show of the tour and it’s the last show for a long time,” Grohl told the Reading Festival crowd.

Now Grohl has once again addressed fans via the Foo Fighters’ Twitter account to dispel any notions that the band will taking a prolonged hiatus from live shows. “Jeesh! Relax…..I was only talking TO England!! ABOUT England…Stop eavesdropping internets!”.

As noted by Loudwire, the Foo Fighters have several live performance commitments during September, including Rock the Vote and Music Midtown.
